Shoppers file strange sight

Print | Email

THE truth is out there - or, more specifically, in Warfield if a recent strange sighting is to be believed.

Resident Mark Poole, 22, spotted a UFO floating in the sky as he was leaving his house in Chavey Down, Warfield, on Wednesday, February 10 around 7pm and could still see it when he arrived at the Tesco store in County Lane.

Mr Poole, who was with friend Alex Wilson, 24, at the time, said other people in the car park were looking up at the object, which was green and had white lights on the side and a red light.

He said: "It was so clear and it was so low, it was definitely not an aeroplane. I said it must just be an aircraft, but my friend Alex, who does not believe in anything like that, said that it was not an aircraft.

"It was the first time I have seen anything in the sky that I have not known what it was. It was only half-a-mile off the ground, it was huge.

"It had two white lights and a red light, it was definitely not a plane, you could see it from the Tesco car park."

He added: "I do not know how anyone could have missed it. Everyone I've told thinks I am mad. It could just be a plane but from what I could see, it wasn't."
