BELOVED mum and grandmother Lesley Webb has passed away after a long battle with a brain tumour.

Lesley, who was diagnosed with the tumour 18 months ago though only in her early 50s, died peacefully at 6.45am on Wednesday, February 3, 2010.

She lived to see her first grandson, born only days before, and inspired her family and friends to set up a fundraising group that will support other tumour sufferers.

Wendy Hobden, who is married to Lesley's brother Keith Hobden, said: "She is not suffering any more."

The family raised £30,000 to try to help fund new treatments for Lesley but she was not well enough to have them and the family has vowed to continue raising money to help other people with brain tumours in her memory.

Mrs Hobden said: "We would like to thank everyone who has supported us."
