GENEROUS volunteers are being urged to come forward to help a healthcare charity in need.

Sue Ryder wants to recruit helpers for the shops in Wokingham and Sandhurst to sell second-hand goods to raise funds for vital end-of-life care.

The Duchess of Kent hospice in Tilehurst cares for people with life-limiting conditions, including cancer, heart failure and lung disease.

Farzana Topia, retail volunteer co-ordinator, said: “Our shops in Berkshire have raised so much money over the years to support the care provided at the likes of Duchess of Kent.

"We would love some extra volunteers at these shops so we can continue this level of support.

“Whether you can spare an afternoon or are interested in longer-term opportunities, anyone interested in volunteering is welcome.”
