A MAN has been arrested in connection with a failed pharmacy theft in Crowthorne.

Police were searching for the thieves after the Lloyds Pharmacy on High Street, was targeted on January 21.

Shortly after 10pm, thieves forced their way into the store with a crowbar after driving into the car park at the back of the shop.

However, the bungling thieves were foiled by the safe and left empty- handed.

A 33-year-old man was arrested on March 21 on suspicion of burglary and theft from a motor vehicle.

He has since been released under investigation.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: “They forced entry through the rear doors of Lloyds Pharmacy with a crowbar.

"Once inside they attempted to lever the safe to steal it however were unsuccessful and left empty-handed.”
