A SELL-OUT concert has raised thousands for charity.
Thames Hospice’s Wellington College Christmas Concert raised thousands for the cause after an evening of music.
Comedian Tim Brooke-Taylor OBE hosted the event based in the Crowthorne school’s chapel on Tuesday December 19.
Among the performances were James Manwring, Windsor Upper School’s director of music, as well as the Thames Hospice Choir, and The Royal Harmonics.
Alison Evans, Thames Hospice’s Head of Community and Events Fundraising, said: “There wasn’t a spare seat in the house and everybody was in fine tune – it was an especially memorable year for the concert, and wonderful to see so much support from our community in the Hospice’s 30th year.
“We would like to thank James Manwaring at the Windsor Upper Schools for giving up his time, year-on- year, to entertain our guests. That thanks extends to our wonderful host, Tim Brooke-Taylor, and all our speakers, supporters, volunteers and sponsors, who we simply couldn’t do this without.”
