STUDENTS from a primary school in the town were the lucky recipients of new kit and equipment from the Premier League.

Wildmoor Heath pupils were delighted to receive a new kit and box of equipment as part of the Premier League Primary Stars scheme.

As well as a full kit to wear, the Crowthorne school were also given a box of books, which have been added to the school library.

Richard Scudamore, Executive Chairman of the Premier League and Football Foundation Trustee, said: “Congratulations to Wildmoor Heath on their successful application for a Premier League Primary Stars Kit and Equipment pack.

"We hope this kit, coupled with the free downloadable online resources, will help teachers harness the popularity of football to inspire primary school kids in everything from Maths and English to teamwork and sport.”

The Premier League Primary Stars Kit and Equipment Scheme gives teachers a range of equipment that can be used across different curriculum areas, and the maths teaching pack was part created by Countdown star Rachel Riley.

Wildmoor Heath headteacher Grant Strudley said: "We would like to thank the Premier League for gifting the kit to us. It helps us to deliver on our commitment to provide opportunities to participate and compete in a wide range of sports.”
