A PEDESTRIAN was beaten up in broad daylight.

At around 1.40pm on Sunday, April 2 a 19-year-old man was walking alone in Lower Broadmoor Road, Crowthorne, when a silver car drove past him and stopped.

One of the three passengers inside the car got out and walked towards the victim before knocking him to the ground.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said once the victim was on the ground he was assaulted again, leaving him with injuries to his head and face.

He added: “At about 1.40pm, the victim, a 19-year-old man, was walking along Lower Broadmoor Road.

“A silver car drove past him, which contained three people. The vehicle then came to a stop and a man got out, before walking over the victim and assaulting him.

“The victim then fell to the ground, where the man assaulted him again.

“He sustained head and facial injuries and was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged.”

A 25-year-old man from Bracknell was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm in connection with the incident. He has since been released under investigation.

Designated investigator, Kerry Neal, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who saw this incident, or who has any information relating to it.
