HEALTHCARE charity Sue Ryder is recruiting volunteers to two of its shop to help support the charity’s incredible hospice care.

Volunteers are required for just a few hours each week to fill various roles at the Sue Ryder shop in Wokingham, which specialises in clothing, books and bric-a-brac, and the larger shop in Sandhurst, which sells a wide range of furniture as well as smaller goods.

Proceeds from both shops help the charity deliver its incredible care at nearby Sue Ryder Duchess of Kent Hospice in Reading and Sue Ryder Nettlebed Hospice in Henley-on-Thames.

Sarah Comerford, shop manager in Wokingham, said: “We’d love to have some extra volunteers on board at our shops in Wokingham and Sandhurst so we can continue to support Sue Ryder in delivering its care to people with life-changing conditions.

“Whatever your interests or availability, we’re bound to have a role that suits you.

“No previous experience is needed and volunteering is a great way to pick up new skills, whether you’re just starting out in work, looking for a new challenge or taking your career in a new direction.

“All that’s required is a smile and willingness to roll up your sleeves to help increase sales at our Wokingham and Sandhurst shops.

“Anyone interested in volunteering is more than welcome to pop in to either shop for a cup of tea and a chat with our friendly staff and volunteers. We can even arrange a tester session for a couple of hours so you can see if you enjoy the role.”
