TWO young girls and their father were treated by paramedics this morning after colliding with another vehicle in Sandhurst (March 4).

The family, driving in a BMW, and an Audi containing a couple in their fifties, came together on Rackstraw Road at around 9.30am, resulting in the dad being rushed to hospital.

A woman from the other car also sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital on a stretcher with neck support.

Everybody inside the vehicles had managed to escape by the time a crew from Bracknell Fire Station arrived at the scene.

Watch manager, Michael Fulwell from Bracknell said: "We had an RTC involving two cars on Rackstraw Road this morning at around 9.30am.

"One of the cars was an Audi and the other was a BMW. I believe the occupants of the Audi were a couple in their fifties and there was a family inside the other vehicle.

"There was certainly a man and two young girls in the BMW, but we are not sure if their mother was with them at the time.

"The vehicles were both severely damaged, but we did not have to use any cutting equipment, as everyone had managed to escape the vehicles by the time we had arrived.

"The lady in the Audi car and the father driving the BMW were taken to hospital on a stretcher with spinal support and everyone else was checked over and given first aid at the scene."
