IT ROLLS round rather quickly every year, but the shine of receiving nominations for the Pride of Bracknell awards - now renamed the Pride of Bracknell Forest awards - never fades.

Having been open for just two weeks, here at the News we have already received a number of nominations from people eager to see others recognised for their good work and, to be quite frank, we can't wait to receive even more.

We want more of you, all members of the thriving Bracknell borough, to nominate the youngsters and adults, teams, businesses or charities that have achieved something amazing, or make a fantastic contribution to the community.

From fundraising to offering a helping hand to those in need, anyone can be nominated for an award - and there are ten of them!

The lucky shortlisted nominees are all then invited to a black-tie dinner and awards ceremony right here in Bracknell this April where celebrity hosts and impressive entertainment make each awards night one to remember.

There is one new category this year, Team of the Year, which is hoped to recognise the achievement of people working together where it could be too difficult to pick just one member for an award.

So get thinking. Is there a business, church team or charity group who do amazing work and help others? Or a sports team that have exceeded all expectations to beat off the competition?

Although it can be difficult to whittle them down, the judging panel can't wait to read the inspiring nominations which become even more heart-warming each year.

See page two of the Bracknell News for our weekly Pride of Bracknell Forest piece and the cut-out nomination form which can be posted back to us here at the News.
