NOMINATIONS have been flying in for this year's Pride of Bracknell Awards.

Launched in September, the News supported by Bracknell Regeneration Partnership, is on the search for unsung heroes to celebrate and recognise.

This year we have teamed up with charities to offer their nominations, but there is still time for you to put forward who you think deserves a Pride of Bracknell Award.

The awards are open to anyone living in the Bracknell, Ascot, Crowthorne, Sandhurst, Wokingham and Finchampstead area.

It could be a parent at your school who volunteers their time to help with reading, or a member of your church who befriends those without families to offer support.

They don't have to have risked their life to save a kitten or cycled around the globe. They could be anyone, young or old. Full details of the awards are shown, left. If you are unsure which category your hero fits into then contact editor Rebecca Johnson on 0118 955 3316 or email her at rjohnson@berksmedia.co.uk There is still plenty of time to nominate and don't miss this chance to celebrate and recognise the work of someone you know.

To nominate your unsung hero, fill in the nomination form found in this Thursday's News and send it to us at the Pride of Bracknell Awards, Bracknell News, South Hill Park, Ringmead, Bracknell, RG12 7PA.

All nominations have to be in by Monday, November 2. Judges will then sift through them for the shortlist. Winners will be announced at a glitzy evening dinner at The Grange Hotel in Bracknell on Monday, November 23.
