The crews were called after the cars collided. Watch manager Nash said: "It involved two vehicles. One hit the other on the rear. This resulted in the front driver sustaining damage to his neck and back.
"We had to stabilise the vehicle and under the guidance of the paramedics we had to cut the roof off the vehicle and put the person on a neck brace and a back board. They were then taken to hospital."
