Stephen Fawke, who now lives in Amazon Close, Basingstoke, was charged with three counts of fraud by false representation by the police on Monday [19].
The 58-year-old was manager of Princess Square Shopping Centre for four years from 2001 to 2005.
He was also head of Broad Street Mall in Reading for eight years - leaving in July 2013 - and the charges relate to incidents taking place there between 2005 and 2012.
Fawke is currently the manager of the Brunel Centre in Swindon.
He has been bailed to appear at Reading Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, February 3.
