The incident took place in the Kerith Community Church's K2 Building in Tytherton at about 3.30pm last Thursday.
The pensioner was at the centre when two unknown men entered and asked for money.
They were asked to leave but one of the men punched the victim on the right side of his head, causing bruising and a small cut.
The 64-year-old then pushed the offenders back, and one sustained a small cut above his left eyebrow.
The two men then made off towards Bracknell and Wokingham College.
The first man is white, aged between 16-19 years old, 6ft 1in tall and of average build. He was wearing a black and white bandana and a dark-coloured Adidas hooded top.
The second man is white, aged between 16-17 years old, 5ft 8ins tall, of slim build and with short blonde curly hair. He was wearing a dark-coloured hooded top and has a recent small cut above his left eyebrow.
