34-year-old Anna Plumridge, from Jennett's Park, will fly out to Hamburg to compete in the International Union of Kettlebell Lifting (IUKL) World Championships, where athletes from all across the world will be taking part.
Mrs Plumridge, who runs her own fitness and kettlebell clases in Bracknell and Wokingham, qualified through competing in different events around the UK, and will represent England at the competition.
The local girl from Bracknell, currently one of the leading kettlebell athletes in the UK will be flying out to Hamburg, Germany to compete against international class athletes from around the world.
She said: "While I have always been a lover of sport, my real passion is kettlebells. The challenge of improving myself to compete at the top level is both daunting and exciting and the physical improvements are a real benefit too.
"It is basically weightlifting but with endurance. We have to lift the kettlebell, which is large ball-shaped weight with a single handle, as many times as possible in ten minutes and can only change hands once."
Mrs Plumridge will be competing as a professional - the first female English athlete to do so - with a 24kg Kettlebell in Hamburg, in the under 63kg category.
