At about 9pm last Thursday, a teenage girl was approached by a man in woodland next to Keepers Coombe.

The man raped her, before running off towards Crown Wood shops.

The offender is white, about 30-years-old and 6ft tall. He has dark hair and is unshaven. He was wearing a black Puffa-style jacket.

Police officers will be in the area tonight (Thursday) conducting further enquiries at the scene and in the surrounding area.

Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Nicola Hurdley from Maidenhead Force CID, said: “I am appealing directly to anyone who was in the area at the time, any dog walkers, runners or anyone who saw a person acting strangely or running away from this area.

“There will be plain clothed officers carrying out enquiries there tonight and the local neighbourhood team are going to be patrolling so if you have any concerns at all, please don’t hesitate to approach them.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to reassure people that incidents like this are extremely rare in Bracknell and we are doing everything to locate this offender.” Anyone with information is asked to contact Det Insp Hurdley on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
