The finalists of the store’s bag design competition were pleased to be awarded with framed versions of their final tote designs, which will be available to buy at the store.
Holly Hutchinson, four, from Jennett’s Park Primary School won the competition after impressing the judges with her cute strawberry design. Coming a close second was nine-year-old Ella Benson, from Harmans Water Primary School, whose environmentally friendly design featured a drawing of the globe.
Commercial manager Linda Peters said: “The competition ran really well and we had loads of entries – we narrowed them down to six and head office chose the final winner.” Both Holly’s and Ella’s designs have been made into tote bags that Sainsbury’s shoppers can take away for free.
Availability is limited and the bags are only being given out at the Ringmead store.
