The family event, held at Calfridus Way recreation ground in Harmans Water, on Saturday, featured bouncy castles, giant inflatables and plenty of games.

More than 250 people turned up to the annual event and the centre raised about £400 to ensure it can continue offering trips and support to the young people they help.

Ed Hannibal, who works at the Wayz Centre, said: “It was really well attended and there was something for the whole family. Everyone had a great time, it was a good sunny day and lots of fun.” The young people who use the club, based in Calfridus Way, helped organise the event and set up stalls selling everything from cakes to loom band bracelets.

Mr Hannibal said: “The kids were really keen to get involved with it, and they came up with ideas for what we could do and how to raise more money.”
