At the club’s first big social event before the 2014-15 ice hockey season starts, more than 100 people turned out to Blues Smokehouse, Bracknell High Street, where most of the team were available for autographs and photographs.

Organised by the Bracknell Bees Supporters Club, the event drew crowds, with the fans filling the pub.

Ben Beeching, the Bees’ general manager, said: “It was a really good event, there were so many people there the pub had to open up another room to accommodate them all.

“It was the last chance for the team to enjoy their time with fans socially before new season training starts.

“They won’t have much time for anything else once the games start.” The season’s new team jerseys for home and away games were also revealed during the evening and fans had the chance to order replica kits.

Everyone was excited to meet Radek Hubacek, the team’s newest import from the Czech Republic with Mr Beeching saying: “He’s a great player and we have high hopes for him, he’s come from a great European league.” New season tickets can be collected at the pre-season game against Swindon at their home, the John Nike Leisure Centre ice rink on Sunday.
