Martha, 17, has so far survived five weeks in the Bake Off tent and, now with more than 13,000 Twitter followers, the teenager is one of the viewers’ favourites.
In the latest episode (September 3) she managed to keep her head above water and came out on top in the tricky technical challenge, where bakers were asked to make a Mini Pear Pie, but was just pipped to the spot as Star Baker by Kate.
Martha, from Ascot, was busy studying A-levels in Food Technology, Maths and Chemistry while filming the show, and starts Year 13 at the school as head girl this month.
She has impressed the judges each week with her ambitious bakes. Her highlights so far include an Alpine mountain ski village made entirely of different flavoured biscuits and an expertly piped Baked Alaska.
The Bake Off pits amateur bakers against each other as they show off their best custards, cakes and biscuits, with one contestant evicted each week. It is shown every Wednesday at 8pm on BBC One.
