A BRIC-A-BRAC sale at Bracknell Shopmobility helped raise almost £340 for the charity.

Shoppers had the chance to buy all sorts of items including cakes, ornaments, glass and much more.

Manager Becky Pearce said: “It went really well. We’ve got rid of a lot of stuff that we had stacked up so it was really worthwhile.” She said the £339.32 raised at the fundraiser – held in the charity’s shop on the ground floor of Princess Square – was a “really good amount”.

The sale lasted from 10am to 4pm on Saturday last week. The charity is also calling on local businesses to help buy six new scooters for the shop.

The scooters cost £950, or £1,300 for a powerchair, and anyone interested could have their company logo on the side of the vehicle. For more or to donate, call Bracknell Shopmobility on 01344 861316.
