A TEENAGE markswoman has picked up more silverware as she was named the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association’s Shooter of the Year.

The 16-year-old skeet shooter from Binfield collected her award – pictured left – from Bracknell Forest mayor Cllr Jan Angell on Saturday.

Speaking at the Coppid Beech Hotel, in John Nike Way, she said: “It’s absolutely incredible for me to think the CPSA have recognised my achievements and feel that I deserve this award, it is just absolutely amazing. Thank you to everyone who nominated me for this award.” Amber’s golden run has included equalling a world record at the World Championships in Peru and being crowned BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year. She finished the season ranked number one in Britain and fifth in the world.

Amber now has her sights firmly set on competing at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the summer.
