A CROWTHORNE choir has been busying itself with rehearsals ahead of its summer concert in June.

Choir at Wildmoor Heath School in Crowthorne

The Crowthorne Village Singers, who use Wildmoor Heath School for rehearsals, will take to the stage St John the Baptist Parish Church in the village on Wednesday, June 4.

The concert will include songs from Les Misérables, the anthem from the musical Chess and a selection of songs from the operetta Merry Widow.

Susan-Mary Spiller, publicity officer for the choir said: “Rehearsals are going really well and we are about a third of the way through our songs. The concert is going to come around very quickly!”

The choir is also appealing for new members and especially for men as numbers have fell in recent years.

To become a member contact Mrs Spiller on 01344 780604 or Monica Leach on 01189 734516.

The June concert costs £5 per person and tickets can be bought by calling Mrs Spiller or on the door.
