Two roads in Bracknell and Wokingham have been forced to shut after extreme weather felled two trees.

Nine Mile Ride in Bracknell is closed due to a fallen tree near the Golden Retriever pub.

The road is closed between the roundabout adjacent to the pub and the junction with South Road.

It also brought down a power cable, and the Highways Agency and relevant electricity authorities have been informed, but it is not known if any homes are affected.

Police are currently working on managing traffic flow and getting the tree removed.

Easthampstead Road, between Waterloo Road and Murdoch Road, is closed due to a 30ft tree falling in the road.

Both lanes are closed to traffic.

The police confirmed that a 'big dangerous branch came down outside a property'.

The road is temporarily closed while the Highways Agency sets about chopping and removing the tree.

More updates to follow.
