It is part of the One Medical Group - a nationally recognised provider of clinical care across the country - and has been awarded the contract after beating six rival contenders.
The bid was selected by the Governing Bodies of Bracknell and Ascot (B&A) and Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead (WAM) Clinical Commissioning Groups.
Dr William Tong, Clinical Chair of Bracknell and Ascot CCG, said: “The new service brings a new dimension to urgent care in the Bracknell and Ascot area.
“As well as the minor injuries and illnesses services, One Medicare will also provide a dedicated children’s clinic five evenings a week to cater for the needs of young families”.
The new service is due to replace the Minor Injuries Unit at Heatherwood Hospital following the recommendation of the Independent Reconfiguration Panel to the secretary of state for health, Jeremy Hunt, in November.
It is expected to open in the Royal Berkshire Bracknell Healthspace, at Brants Bridge, in April 2014. It will be open every day from 8am to 8pm.
As well as providing advice and treatment for minor injuries such as cuts, sprains and bruises, the staff – which will include a GP – will also see patients with minor illnesses which need same day care.
