HUNDREDS of primary school children raised the roof at Bracknell Forest’s annual Christmas Carol Concert.

Pupils take part in the Bracknell Forest carol concert.

The event involved more than 350 pupils from infant, junior and primary schools in Bracknell Forest.

The youngsters sang traditional Christmas carols and other festive songs, including Once in Royal David’s City, We Three Kings and Hark The Herald Angels Sing.

Instrumental numbers were performed by the Berkshire Maestros Corelli Orchestra, which was conducted by James Baker.

Bracknell Forest Mayor, Cllr Mrs Jan Angell, who was guest of honour at the festive sing-song, said: “It was wonderful to see all the children singing so beautifully and the instrumental numbers were fabulous too. The carol concert is truly the perfect start to the festive season.

“I’d like to thank everyone who made the event so special and congratulate all our young people on a fantastic performance.”

A total of 26 schools took part in the performance, which took place at Bracknell Leisure Centre on December 1.
