ANOTHER big-name brand will open in the new-look Bracknell town centre with Carluccio’s set to open.

The popular chain of authentic Italian caffés and food shops will take a 3,606 sq ft unit opposite what will be the new Marks & Spencer store in the north of the town centre.

The first Carluccio’s was opened in London in 1999 by acclaimed chef, Antonio Carluccio, and the company now has 70 restaurants around the United Kingdom.

Helen Barnett, marketing manager at Bracknell Regeneration Partnership, says: “Our intention to provide an array of different restaurants to suit a wide range of tastes and budgets is fast becoming a reality. “The news about Carluccio’s follows hot on the heels of both Nando’s and Zizzi also confirming that they will be opening in the new town centre.

“The combination of these fabulous eateries and Cineworld is sure to create a town centre that the local community will want to visit in the evenings.” Cllr Marc Brunel-Walker, executive member for economic development and regeneration, said: “It’s great news that Carluccio’s is coming to Bracknell.

“We’ve always said that we wanted the new town centre to provide an evening economy and the line-up of restaurants and a new cinema shows the new town centre will be more than just shops, it will provide some great entertainment for our residents too.”
