Motorists warned over roadworks beginning today at Loddon Bridge Road junction

Delays are expected for the duration of the project, which will last roughly four weeks.
Temporary traffic lights are in operation 24 hours to allow work to take place and on some occasions a lane will be closed, meaning traffic going straight on and turning into Loddon Bridge Road will be using the same lane.
Some work will also be carried out on weekends.
When installed, the 'intelligent' lights will react to real-time traffic flow, with the aim of easing congestion at the junction, by the George pub.
Loddon Bridge Road will be closed on Sundays so a new footway can be built.
The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the full closure will be via A329 Reading Road, Access Road to A329(M)/A3290, The Bader Way, Spitfire Way, Miles Way, Headley Road East and Loddon Bridge Road (northern section) or by this route reversed.
The work is part of Wokingham Borough Council's My Journey Programme, which is funded by the Department of Transport to encourage and improve sustainable travel.
