The pupils at Meadow Vale Primary School, in Moordale Avenue, dressed up in the colours of the French and Spanish flags, and learned about language and culture in the two countries.
Years Three and Four focused on their Spanish and made tapas bowls with bulls on them out of clay, while children in years Five andSsix tried to build model Eiffel Towers.
The day ended with class 4B winning a French breakfast which they enjoyed during Monday
Anna Withey, languages co-ordinator at the school, said: “We wanted to have a bit of fun in a creative way. All the kids had a great time – it was brilliant fun.”
