THE number of people signing on in Bracknell Forest and Wokingham fell again last month.
According to the latest Government figures, released yesterday (Wednesday) [17], the number of people claiming Jobseeker's Allowance was 1,419 (1.9% of the working age population) in Bracknell Forest in June, compared with 1,520 the previous month.
The number in Wokingham also dropped by 71, with 1,149 people (1.2%) claiming benefit.
In Reading, the figure fell 286 to 3,054 (2.8%) and in West Berkshire, it was down 90 to 1,494 (1.5%).
Nationally, the number of people claiming Jobseeker's Allowance last month was down 21,200 to 1.48 million - the fastest drop in three years.
