A FUNDRAISING event in aid of a local football hero will take place on Saturday (May 18).
A four-team football tournament at Aldershot Town will raise money for Tony Calvert, the former Bracknell Town, Wokingham and Sandhurst manager who suffered a heart attack while on holiday last month.
Teams from Bracknell Town, Wokingham & Emmbrook and Binfield, Aldershot Town and Ash United will take part.
There will also be live music, face painting, penalty shootouts and a raffle. The event starts at noon and entry is free but donations are asked for.
From 7.30pm, band Fuzz Universe will play in the EBB lounge at the ground. There will also be an auction and food on sale. Tickets cost �10 and can be bought by emailing support@supporttonycalvert.co.uk Mr Calvert, 48, from Crowthorne, is out of a coma but will require lengthy rehabilitation.
