A CONVOY of caravans started moving onto land next to Peacock Farm, in Jennett's Park, earlier today (Wednesday).

Workers and punters at the pub, as well as residents living on the adjacent housing estate, were shocked when caravans decided to park up on their doorstep.

A spokeswoman from the pub, who did not want to be named, said the caravans started arriving at 2.30pm and that by 4pm there were four or five parked next to the pub.

She added that it has not had any impact on the number of customers at Peacock Farm.

Police are at the scene at the moment and have reported at least six caravans.

Vicki Judd, spokeswoman for Bracknell Forest Council, said that the council's licensing team have been made aware of the situation.

"They will be sending someone down there to have a look and see how many people are there," she told the News.

"Once they've established the scale of it they'll decide on what action needs to be taken."

Ms Judd added that the situation is in the very early stages at the moment and the council should have more information tomorrow.
