Car fire turns out to be steam from overheated engine

FIRE crews were called to a woman motorist who was left stranded on a busy road when she suspected her car's engine was on fire.
A team from Wokingham Road was called out to the car which had pulled over on the A329M southbound, between Winnersh and Coppid Beech at 11.11am on Saturday after the woman thought smoke was coming out of her bonnet.
The crew was able to establish that the 'smoke' was steam from an overheating engine and remained at the scene until the driver and her car was collected by a recovery vehicle.
