Burning rubbish sparks firefighter call-out

FIREFIGHTERS were called to Warfield Park last night (Tuesday) after neighbours spotted a burning pile of rubbish.

The crew from Bracknell station rushed to the scene around 7.20pm, but spent 45 minutes reaching the blaze.

Firefighter Steve Blackman said: "We could see the fire from the road but couldn't get to it - Warfield Park is a bit of a maze."

He added: "It had died down by the time we got there."

The crew established that the fire had just been a controlled burning.
