COUNCILLORS approved a 428,360 grant for South Hill Park yesterday (Wednesday).
The cash-strapped arts centre will receive 9,220 more than it did in 2012/13 - in line with current inflation - after Bracknell Forest Council's executive committee rubber stamped the funding.
A report on the revenue grant stated that for years the council had supported the Birch Hill mansion, its activities and its grounds and added: "Any significant reduction in grant aid would limit the ability of South Hill Park to function and offer a broad range of arts productions."
South Hill Park plans to put on several in-house productions during the next 18 months, including Fawlty Towers in October 2013 and Stepping Out in October 2014.
The 2013 panto will be Snow White.
