Residents in Bullbrook receive unwelcome wake-up call

RESIDENTS in a block of flats had to evacuate the building at about 4am this morning (Sunday).
Firefighters from Wokingham fire station were called to the incident in Kelvin Gate, off Deepfield Road, after a bin had caught fire in a room on the ground floor.
The building has about 18 flats and the majority of residents were outside when the crew arrived.
The fire was dealt with quickly and firefighters left within 30 minutes.
The Wokingham crew was called as firefighters from Bracknell fire station were dealing with another bin fire in Freeborn Way, off Shelley Avenue.
It also took them about 30 minutes to put out the fire but no-one was affected.
Firefighters are investigating whether there is a link between the two fires.
