Sports facility gets grant to improve disabled access
BRACKNELL Rugby Club will receive £8,000 so it can make its facilities more accessible to the disabled.
The Lily Hill Park facilities will use the Bracknell Forest Council grant to install a range of improvements, including:
- A new accessible toilet on the first floor;
- Creating a path - which meets disability standards - allowing access to the clubhouse from the car park on Lily Hill Road;
- Making minor improvements into the clubhouse and around the pitch to make them suitable for wheelchairs and buggies.
Club chairman Ian Hallam described it as a "positive start" to 2013.
