A BIRD-spotting group is inviting people to join its talks, field trips and walks.

The Wokingham and Bracknell group of the Royal Society For The Protection Of Birds (RSPB) holds talks on the second Thursday of the month at Memorial Hall, in The Village, Finchampstead. Meetings start at 7.45pm for 8pm, cost 2.50, including refreshments, for members and 3 for non-members.

The next meeting, on September 13, will feature David Boag speaking on The World Of A Wildlife Photographer, which promises a humorous insight into what it is like to be behind the lens.

The group also runs A Date With Nature walks at Dinton Pastures Country Park, in Davis Street, Hurst, on the first Saturday of the month. They start at 9am from the main car park and finish by 12.30pm. They cost 1 per adult and children go free. The next walk is on September 1.

Annual membership is 6.50 or 5 for senior citizens, students and under-16s. Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.
