A BRACKNELL town centre pub has been recognised for being a "beacon" for real ale fans.
The Berkshire South East branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (Camra) has presented its 2012 Pub of the Year award to the Old Manor in Grenville Place.
Branch chairman Nick Boley, who presented the award on Wednesday last week to manager Ian Lynsky, said: "I thank Ian and his team for providing the long-suffering beer drinkers of Bracknell a beacon of real ale in the town."
The branch will present its runner-up award today (Saturday) to the Hope and Anchor in Station Road, Wokingham.
