A RED-hot Valentine's celebration is guaranteed for couples who take part in a charity fire walk.
The walk over 1,000°C coals will raise money for Guide Dogs and will be held at the charity's training centre at Folly Court in Barkham Road, Wokingham on Saturday, February 12.
Fiona Wright, senior district fundraiser, said: "It will be a very, very exciting event. It's going to be the first time that we've held a fire walk here. It's nice for people to have something different for people to do in this area. We wanted to offer people a Valentine's event with a difference."
Anyone doing the fire walk needs to raise £100 of sponsorship and attend a briefing at 4pm before the walk at 5.30pm.
For those feeling lukewarm about the challenge, there will also be a selection of beauty treatments suitable for men and women, including Indian head massages, facials and manicures. There will also be cheese and wine.
Friends or single people are welcome to take part in the event too in support of the charity.
About 80 dogs a year receive their advanced training in Wokingham before going to their new homes.
Ms Wright said: "Because we don't receive any Government funding whatsoever, it's only with the support of the public that we can maintain our life-long commitment to blind and partially-sighted people."
