THERE will be weekend closures on the A329 for the next two weeks.

The closures are to let work at the Jennett's Park junction continue safely.

Both eastbound lanes of the A329, from Wokingham and Reading towards Bracknell, between the Coppid Beech and Berkshire Way roundabouts will be closed on Saturday and Sunday, and again the following weekend.

The closures will start at 4pm on both Saturday afternoons and the road will be reopened around 6am on the Monday, in time for rush-hour.

The closures are while roadworks are going on to create a new direct link between the A329 Berkshire Way and Peacock Lane.

Signposted diversions will be in place via the B3408 on to Millennium Way, then south on to the A3095 Church Road/Bagshot Road, on to the A322 and rejoining the A329 at the Twin Bridges roundabout.

Local eastbound traffic can join the Twin Bridges roundabout via Downshire Way. Westbound traffic will be unaffected.

To help traffic flow, a further change will be in place at the junction of London Road, Beehive Road and St Mark's Road in Binfield.

No right hand turns will be allowed from Beehive Road or St Mark's Road on to London Road during the closure period. The junction's traffic lights will also be disabled during the closure time.

The A329 roundabout and link to Peacock Lane is due to be completed some time this winter.
