RISING pop/rock sensation Tiger Lilly wowed the crowd with her unique acoustic sound at a special charity event.

The show, to mark the reopening of The Bridge pub in Wokingham Road, Bracknell, on Saturday was in aid of Teen Boundaries UK, a charity devoted to stopping sexual bullying and addressing other teenage issues in schools.

In addition to singer songwriter Tiger Lilly, the show featured live acts Ross McIvor and Danny Boyles, and sets from DJs Alex P and DJ Harcor. Singer/songwriter Tiger Lilly, who lives near Slough, said: 'The gig was just great and raised quite a bit of money. Getting my music out to Bracknell was pretty cool - being a Berkshire girl that meant a lot.

'I was only meant to be playing one set but ended up playing three, so they must have liked it.

'I sold some of my CDs and gave £1 from each to the charity.'

She added: 'It was lovely to be invited to play for the charity.

'I was bullied at school so it means a lot to me. The founder of the charity loved my set and even asked me to be a patron!'

The show, organised by Dave Gannon and his events company Tubs in Clubs, was attended by celebrities including Rex and Mo from Big Brother 9, and DJ Talent.

The Bridge was recently taken over by new owners, Martin and Sharon Cannan who have carried out a complete refurbishment to re-open as a

family pub. The new-look venue was closed for around three weeks as part of the overhaul.

Tiger Lilly has a busy time ahead. Next up, on Tuesday, is the official launch party for her EP 'Love & Lies" at the Embassy Nightclub in Mayfair.

Other events on the horizon include the launch of the video for her single 'Chasing Ghosts", the launch of her band at the Embassy, and a UK tour later this year. Tiger Lilly"s single 'Chasing Ghosts" is available for download on iTunes, Amazon and cdbaby.com
