A DEVASTATED son has paid tribute to 'the best mum anyone could ask for'.

Sharon Wiseman was found dead at her home in Walbury, Harmans Water, in January after overdosing on anti-depressant tablets.

The 41-year-old had suffered from depression for a number of years and made previous suicide attempts but despite this her son, James Garde, was quick to honour his mum. He said: 'She was brilliant, she was the best mum anyone could ask for. All she did was care about us and even though we didn"t get on towards the end she was still always there for me.'

The 20-year-old who has a brother, Edward, 18, and sister Elizabeth, 16, added: 'You couldn"t ask for a better mum. Everyone knew her and at her funeral you couldn"t fit anybody else in, there were people I didn"t even know there - a lot of people cared about her.'

Mr Garde said on the day his mother died, January 19, he had been out shopping and had sprinted to the family"s Harmans Water home when he heard what had happened. Mr Garde said: 'I ran from Hanworth shops to our house in seven and a half minutes when I found out. My brother was 18 on January 17 and I had my 20th two days after she died - that really hurt.' An inquest at Windsor Guildhall on Tuesday heard that Mrs Wiseman"s body was found by her friends Daniel and Marisa McArthur, after they had become concerned for her safety and broken into the house.

Mr McArthur said: 'As soon as I saw her, I called her name and she didn"t answer - I knew there was something seriously wrong.'

A post mortem gave Ms Wiseman"s cause of death as respiratory depression due to an overdose of Amitriptyline and Nortripyline. Berkshire coroner Peter Bedford said: 'It is impossible to know for certain what was on her mind and what led her to take an overdose, but I can say that Mrs Wiseman had shortly before her death taken a significant amount of Amitriptyline.'

Mr Bedford"s verdict was that Mrs Wiseman took her own life while she was suffering from depression.
