MORE than 2,000 people are expected to descend on Bracknell for the annual Ale and Cider Festival this weekend.

Now in its eighth year, the festival takes place this Sunday at Bracknell Rugby Club in Lily Hill Park where revellers will be able to sample more than 60 real ales, ciders, gins, Prosecco and wine.

Coinciding with the late May bank holiday, the festival will be prepared for all weathers thanks to a giant marquee where visitors can enjoy their drinks with friends.

Several local breweries will be taking part in the event, including Hogs Back, Loddon Brewery, Siren Craft Brew and Elusive Brewing, along with the return of festival favourite Captain B Spiced Rum Ale from Irving & Co. Brewers.

Revellers will be able to line their stomachs with plenty of tasty food in the Courtney Buses food court, with tasty morsels ranging from bangers and hog roast to Greek and moreish pies.

Tickets are £6 for adults, £3 for concessions and £1 to CAMRA members and members of local sports clubs.
