A TRAUMATISED cashier was held at knifepoint during a horrific robbery last night.

Staff were left horrified when a man walked into the Co-op store in Rectory Lane, Bracknell, and drew a blade.

He then pointed the weapon at a member of staff behind the till and demanded cash.

The offender removed a sum of cash from the till before riding off on a bicycle.

The shocking incident happened shortly after 10.30pm and police have released CCTV images of a man they believe could hold vital clues into the case.

Detective constable Will Holbrook, said: “Anyone who recognises the man, who is wearing a very distinctive jacket, in these CCTV images please contact police immediately as we believe he may have vital information.

"We are aware that there were customers in the store at the time so anyone who saw or heard anything, even if you don't think it is significant, please contact police.

"The staff have been left traumatised by this incident so it is important that people come forward so we can bring the offender to justice.

"Thankfully, no one was injured during the incident after which the offender cycled away onto Saffron Road and then Crowthorne Road.
