ROYAL Navy veterans took to the Lexicon to collect for sailors’ charities on Trafalgar Day.
More than £330 was raised, which will help support the welfare of retired members of the Senior Service.
Bracknell RNA branch secretary, Shipmate June Boddrell, said: “Our members are grateful to the Forest Borough Council for granting us a street collection permit.
"There will be no expenses incurred and all proceeds resulting from the event outside Princess Square, and in the centre of High Street on Friday and Saturday October 20th and 21st, will now be forwarded to our charity number 266982 at Portsmouth Central Office.
“Our retired sailors wish to convey sincere thanks to all those who showed such kindness.”
