THE LEXICON has finally announced that TGI Fridays will be coming to the town, but not until the new year.

TGI Fridays will be joined by Jack Wills in The Lexicon, though the latter's opening date is yet to be confirmed.

In August, The News reported that an application had been made by Fridays UK, the owners of TGI Fridays, for a restaurant and alcohol sale.

Then in September, the restaurant chain started advertising a job for a kitchen manager at the new restaurant, although the announcement still had not been made.

Now it has been confirmed that the American style eatery will be opening in The Lexicon next year on the corner of Bull Square and Eagle Lane.

Jack Wills also advertised for a store manager recently, with an advert placed on the job listing site Indeed.

The British themed fashion outlet will open up on The Avenue, next to Paperchase.

Joining TGI and Jack Wills will be Revital and Hotel Chocolat.

Revital, a health-food, vitamins, supplements and beauty product retailer will open pre-Christmas.

Hotel Chocolat, a store offering a range of exclusive chocolates as well as a cafe will be opening at the end of November.

Councillor Marc Brunel-Walker, executive member for economic development and regeneration, said: “These new signings will add even more choice to The Lexicon’s growing array of eateries and shops, giving visitors more options for Christmas shopping and an exciting new restaurant to experience in 2018.”

Simon Russian, development manager for Legal & General on behalf of Bracknell Regeneration Partnership, says: “We are delighted to welcome these four new signings, all of which add something unique to the mix that The Lexicon offers diners and shoppers.”
