SOUTH HILL PARK have released their October schedule, featuring schools performances and comedy shows.

The first performance to take place at the Bracknell venue is the popular film classic; Bugsy Malone, featuring a youthful cast of talented local actors.

Bugsy Malone runs from Wednesday October 4 to Saturday October 7, and is put on by Starmaker Theatre Company.

Following the gangster film interpretation, the next show to be held is an interpretation of the Rowan Atkinson TV show; Blackadder.

Four episodes, one from each season, will be performed over the course of the four day run at South Hill Park, from Wednesday October 11 to Sunday October 15.

After Blackadder has run its course at the Park, the Shakespeare Schools Foundation brings the Shakespeare Schools Festival to town.

This event features local primary, secondary and special schools performing some of Shakespeare's finest plays on stage.

The Shakespeare Schools Festival will be taking place on Tuesday October 17 to Friday October 20.

In the middle of the Schools Festival, Helen Seymour will be performing a one-off show titled 'To Helen Back', discussing health, sickness and the struggle of recovery.

This show takes place on Friday October 19, and is designed to be something a bit different from your average theatrical performance.

It is directed by award-winner Hannah Silva.

Two performances will share a timespan towards the end of the month, with The Railway Children and Bazzar and Rummage both being displayed from Wednesday October 25 to Saturday October 28.

The Railway Children features a mother and her three children being taken away from their London home after the father is wrongly put in jail, and having to make the most of their new life.

It has been performed for over 100 years in film, stage and television form.

Bazaar and Rummage on the other hand is a comedic play featuring Sue Townsend as an ordinary person striving to overcome personal obstacles in an effort to rejoin society.
