NEW jobs are on the way as new investment has taken over a domestic cleaning company.
Experienced facilities management professional Martin Candy has taken over the ownership of Bracknell domestic cleaning business Merry Maids.
The new investor has spent14 years in a number of facilities management roles in the leisure and healthcare sectors before choosing to invest in the cleaning firm.
The business, which serves customers across the town from its base on Birch Hill, provides a variety of bespoke, domestic cleaning services to its customers.
Mr Candy is aiming to double the size of the business in his first 18 months of ownership, taking on new staff on a monthly basis and has already invested over £5,000 in new staff, training and infrastructure changes.
He said said: “I was intrigued by the Merry Maids franchise proposition initially and the more I learnt of the ethos behind the company, the fair treatment and employment of staff and the high standards of the brand, I knew it was the right fit for me.
“My aim is to grow this business, whilst ensuring that we retain the high standards of cleaning our customers expect from Merry Maids. I am delighted to have recruited and trained five new maids already and I hope that my partner will join me in running the business in the not too distant future as she will bring with her a wealth of business financial management experience.”
