CHILDREN are being motivated to walk to school with the help of a new on-the-go game.
Following on from Active Cubs' launch in March this year, the group is now running Schools of Excellence to motivate pupils to become more physically active on their way to school.
Children are being provided with a free and fun travel to school game.
The game encourages pupils to either walk, scoot or bike to school instead of getting a lift in the car.
It’s a class versus class game and the most physically active group each week gets rewarded with the Active Cubs cuddly toy in assembly.
Co-Founder of Active Cubs Joel James said: “It’s great to see the positive impact Active Cubs is having within the Bracknell Forest area and we look forward to continuing to supporting the Active Cubs Schools of Excellence's next term when we launch our new online software, which will help schools influence physical activity levels outside the school environment.”
Active Cubs was launched in Bracknell with the aim of supporting primary schools in key areas such as physical activity, healthy eating, and emotional health and wellbeing.
